The price of a first class U.S. Postage Stamp will increase on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 45 to 46 cents. Postcard postage rates will also increase from 32 to 33 cents.
Customers can still buy the U.S. Postal Service Forever Stamps at the 45 cent postal rate on Saturday, and continue to use the Forever Stamps after the 2013 U.S. stamp cost increase.
Including tomorrow’s hike, the cost of a U.S. first class stamp will have increased by 7 cents in as many years since 2006 when it was 39 cents. The stamp price over this time period will have increased by 17.94%.

This is a real stupid mistake by the postal service. They are going to lose more business. The people of this country have had enough.

Email is one of the reasons they have declined. Not their fault. It is still nice to go to the mail box for some mail, But for how long? Other delivery services don't help things for them. Many, many businesses are folding up. It not just the US anymore, the whole world is in trouble. Maybe a Savior will come on the scene. Will he be True or False?
