6:30 PM UPDATE: Two lanes have reopened. But traffic continues to move at a slow pace.
BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – The northbound lanes of I-95 are completely shut down due to a multi-vehicle accident that occurred just after 5 p.m. near mile mark 196.
As detour, motorists should consider using Murrell Road, or U.S.1 as an alternate northbound route and return to northbound I-95 via State Road 520.
Brevard County Fire Rescue reports that Fiske Boulevard is at a standstill.
