Brevard County COVID-19 Cases Rise To 2,591

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – The number of cases of coronavirus in Brevard County rose by 70 from 2,521 yesterday to 2,591 on Monday, July 6, 2020, the Florida Department of Health announced.

Brevard County’s overall case count has nearly tripled by 1,673 cases in just the last 13 days.

Statewide, Florida added 10,059 cases since yesterday and now stands at 200,111.

Brevard County has had 19 coronavirus-associated deaths. Three of those deaths were associated with long-term care facilities.

49,868 people in Brevard have tested negative and 2,591 positive to date. 0 are inconclusive. 2 are awaiting testing.

17 cases are non-residents.

The State of Florida does not publish the number of recovered coronavirus cases.

“I have asked the Department of Health to track and/or share statistics on “recovered” patients and was told that there are no plans to do that at present as they do not believe there is a standard method to determining “recovered,” Florida State Representative Randy Fine (R-Palm Bay) wrote on his Facebook page.
